Libertarian thinking about everything.
--Ere he shall lose an eye for such a trifle... For doing deeds of nature! I'm ashamed. The law is such an ass. -- G. Chapman, 1654.

Holy crap, skipper, I guess you did have a blow there! I'm assuming that those runabouts (runagrounds?) didn't start out on the beach...
The damage reports keep accumulating, slowly. Lord, how we need an actual news editor and a real reporter around here. Radio is still running a yesterday piece praising the utility company for tryng to get the lights back on. The newspaper web site is still limited to chamber of commerce rewrites from last week.
Those boats were blown from their hoists, and they're bigger than they look in these shots. Many of the little ones -- the 20 footers --will hit two tons tons, easy. (It is more economical for Sea Ray, e.g., to add glass and resin that it is to pay for proper engineering.
I took some crap for my "approaching 100 mph" wind guess. Guys said it wasn't possible. Yesterday. an official U.S. gummint spokesperson said the official gummint anemometer said the wind hit at least 96.3 mph. Officially. And 'course since the government said so it must be so.
